World Day of Remembrance for Victims of Traffic Violence

Over 35 people have died traveling on Aurora Ave N since the city committed to Vision Zero in 2015. No father, mother, sister, brother, or child should die while moving through our city.

Join us as we honor the victims of traffic violence with a walking vigil and advocacy action along Aurora. We'll meet at 10:45am at the northwest corner of Daniel Bagley Elementary School and walk up Aurora Ave to N 84th Street, one of many sites where people have lost their lives crossing the road. There we'll make short remarks and hang a collective art project.

Bring noise makers, homemade signs, your neighbors, and a resolve to make Aurora a safer place to live, work, and travel.

226 of our neighbors have been killed by traffic violence

and over 1,400 people have been left with serious, life-altering injuries.

Seattle Neighborhood Greenways will be hanging these signs at the 226 crash sites where people have lost their lives since Seattle committed to Vision Zero in 2015.
